Position: K-12 Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Specialist
Ashley is a P.K. lifer, which means she attended P.K. Yonge as a student from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Because of this experience as a student and now as a faculty member, Ashley has a rich history with P.K.
Ashley has had many different positions at P.K. She began her teaching career as a third grade teacher. She continued learning from her students by teaching fifth grade, second grade, Tier 3 instruction for third through fifth grade, and many summers of summer school. Ashley then took a year to be a teacher on special assignment and conducted the administrative duties for the elementary division of the school. After having her first baby, Ashley returned as an elementary curriculum coordinator. Her current position at P.K. Yonge is being the K-12 Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Specialist.
Ashley’s research interests are personalized learning for students and teachers, inclusion, and differentiated instruction.
In her free time, Ashley loves to spend time with her husband, their son Avery, their family, and their friends. She also likes to read, watch movies, be outside, and cook.
